Pest and Dry Rot or
WDO Inspection

Having a pest and dry rot (also called a “termite inspection” and “wood destroying organism inspection”) is a smart move for anybody, regardless of whether you are buying or selling a home, or if you are just a home owner that would like to know if any of these things exist.

The pest and dryrot reports are governed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture in conjunction with the Washington State Pest Control Association.

o Inadequate ventilation in the attic or crawl space.

o Blocked crawl space vents
o Cellulose debris (wood products) in crawl space on or under the vapor barrier.
o Plumbing leaks
o Improper earth to wood contact on wood that is not rated for such contact
