Valued Clients and Real Estate Colleagues,
As many know, Kate Brown of Oregon and Jay Inslee of Washington ordered varying “stay-in-place” mandates, shutting down large portions of the economy not deemed “essential”.
At this time, it appears clear that home inspections in the State of Washington are *not* exempt, and unless news or proof comes otherwise, we have had to make the decision to comply with the orders.
It is *not* clear, however, that inspections in the State of Oregon have been shut down. The information we have obtained from the Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board, which licenses home inspectors, has stated that “contractors” are exempt from the orders, yet must maintain “social distancing” practices. We have limited our staffing during this time, though we will remain available for inspections in Oregon until we receive clear directives or evidence to the contrary.
We will be offering FREE advice to homeowners, consumers, real estate professionals and the like, however, where we can moving forward through this shut down and semi-shut down period. If we are able to help in any way, please give us a call or shoot us an email—no strings attached, and no expectations at all.
This is a trying and confusing time for all of us. Beyond our work as home inspectors, we are homebuyers, homesellers, consumers, fathers, mothers, siblings, children, and citizens of this great country, just like you. We are confident that we will ALL get through it!
Again, if your inspection is in Oregon, please feel free to contact us and schedule! And for Oregon and Washington consumers and real estate professionals, please feel free to call or email and let us know how we can help you! Happy to!
Best Regards and Much Love,
