Justin Nickelsen, CMI is a second generation home inspector with exceptional experience and qualifications in the home inspection profession. He has performed thousands of inspections in his career, and personally performs over 500 home inspections per year. Among his many state, local and national memberships and certifications he maintains membership in all three of the most well known and respected home inspection associations (ASHI The American Society of Home Inspectors, NAHI The National Association of Home Inspectors, and InterNACHI The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors), and is one of only a handful of Board Certified Master Inspectors in the States of Oregon and Washington. Coupled with his years in residential construction where he personally performed or aided in all phases of construction and the many thousands of inspections he has performed, Justin brings a background in philosophy and teaching to his inspections, which is put to work in the investigational and communicatory aspects of the home inspection process. His reports are detailed, and his concise communication is well recognized in the local real estate communities and among his colleagues in the area. He maintains over 50 hours of continuing education hours per year, more than doubling the State requirements of both Oregon and Washington, to stay abreast of the latest changes in the industry.

Beyond his work as a home inspector, Justin loves chasing around his four young children, is an avid reader with interests in philosophy, comparative religion, early American history and contemporary social issues, cheers on the Pittsburgh Steelers (sorry Seahawks fans!), enjoys gardening and outdoor activities, and is an accomplished carpenter and a regular volunteer at his church.

Justin inspected a home for us that we loved, and sadly during his inspection found way too many things wrong with the home. Most of the things he discovered were not required to be looked into for a home inspection. He went above and beyond those requirements and we were so thankful that he did, otherwise we would have ended up with a home that required way too many fixes. About a month later we had Justin inspect another home for us and he gave it an enthusiastic stamp of approval.
